The inside scoop

We thought it would be fun to give our fans a little insight into the world of wedding photography, so today we bring you a little Q&A from the the ladies of capture!

Q (JENNY, Left): WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT DURING THE WEDDING & RECEPTION ?
A (Allison, Right): I came into the wedding photography business claiming it was just going to be a job. The reality is, I have turned into a big sap! I love sharing in the excitement felt by the couple and their loved ones. My favorite moment is getting to be with the bride and the groom before the ceremony. Each and every-time I get swept up in the day and the couple!

Q (ALLISON): WHAT IS IT ABOUT SHOOTING WEDDINGS THAT MAKES YOU LOVE WHAT YOU DO?
A (Jenny):Everything! It’s a whole day to celebrate love and everyone is so happy to be there. People invite me to share one of the most important days of their life, and it doesn’t get better than that. I get wrapped up in every couple and it makes me want to write my own beautiful love story.

Q (JENNY): WHO WOULD BE YOUR DREAM COUPLE TO PHOTOGRAPH?
A (Allison): A couple that is madly in love and ready to have a party!
A (Jenny): I want in on this one too! I’m going with Heidi & Spencer. Kidding! I would love to photograph Faith Hill & Tim McGraw, they seem to exude love and they’re so darn adorable together. Plus you know the reception music would be rockin’.

Q (ALLISON): TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY FROM A WEDDING.
A (Jenny): No names, but probably the couple who did their first dance dressed as their own super heroes. Or when the brother sang “I thought I loved you then” during the ceremony. I might have cried, but don’t tell anyone.

Q (JENNY): WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM THE INDUSTRY THAT YOU WILL TAKE TO YOUR OWN WEDDING?
A (Allison): Be well prepared and have professionals present on your wedding day. Your planning will pay off but once the day actually arrives, let your entrourage take care of you and just enjoy! As long as you have good help on hand at your wedding, you will be able to relax, enjoy yourself, and let everything unfold naturally.
A (Jenny): Make your kiss on the altar last- you only get one! A good five seconds will guarantee a photo and it will make your hubby pretty happy too.

Lindsey & Mark: Celebration!

The Martell couple celebrated their one year anniversary with a special photoshoot in Red Rock Canyon; that's just outside the fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada! What a gorgeous location for a gorgeous couple! We were excited to do their portraits, especially because their military

commitments (Lindsey and Mark both serve in the Air Force) never allowed for engagement

portraits. Here's to their first year, and the many more to come!
